American RV Park

Categories Campground Reviews

We arrived at American RV Park on June 15, 2017, and stayed one night only for Stop #2 on Road Trip 2017. We were able to get a site with some shade. It’s a nice “little” park with 218 sites, very clean and well maintained, and the staff is efficient. We were at our site within five minutes of arrival. That said, we’ve decided to try out other campgrounds on our way through Albuquerque in the future.

One feature that I liked about this place was the dog park. It has shade and park benches which is important for a sunny place like Albuquerque. Our girls approve.

Because we stayed one night only, we didn’t explore Albuquerque at all during Road Trip 2017. There was a gas station nearby that we relied upon for refueling. I should point out that we have an auxiliary tank in the truck bed that allows us to go further between refueling stops, which is one of the best things we have purchased to support our RV habit!

Our next stop is the Big Texan RV Ranch in Amarillo, TX! It’s a long drive from here, but there are not many options along this stretch of road.
