Little Turtle RV and Storage

Categories Campground Reviews

We were here at Little Turtle RV and Storage in Oklahoma for only a short stay of one night on June 17, 2017. It’s a medium-sized park with 99 sites and it even has stables if you bring your own horse! (I’m not sure how you would bring your RV AND a horse…)

As for our site, it was less than desirable for our tastes. Our site is “bring your own shade” plus seriously why would you place a picnic table right next to the neighbor’s sewer line?!? That needs to move. Well, actually I don’t care. This desert gal is melting and not inclined to sit outside tonight anyway. I still have some acclimating to humidity to do. Slowly.

Dean coaxed me outside after dinner, which resulted in me becoming a sopping mess and I destroyed one pair of flip-flops, hobbling back to our site barefoot across the gravel – ouch!

But I will say although I’m not keen on our site if I were here for a longer period, this park does have some redeeming qualities. After fixing my flip-flop issues, we completed our walk around the campground and enjoyed its various features.

Plenty of water for ducks to enjoy here!

Walking along the campground perimeter, we could see the nearby lake.

So as it turns out, this campground was a decent place to stay. Another plus is that I really liked the dog park here. Clean, grassy, and shaded, with seating!

Because we were in travel mode, we did not investigate things to do nearby. Maybe next time! Now we’re on to Tom Sawyer’s RV Park in West Memphis, AR.
