We expected to go to Visalia today (near Sequoia National Park) but they called to tell us their water has bacteria and we need to bring our own. No thanks. As it turns out, this alternative was the place we needed to be instead. It was a very comforting place to be in the aftermath of the Las Vegas shooting on October 1, 2017. Of course, we weren’t in Vegas at the time, but hearing the news and wondering who we knew that could be affected was upsetting. We arrived here on October 2 and stayed five days.
This environment provided some peace and quiet and time to be grateful for each day that we have on this earth. Shown below was our “back yard.”

The landscaping between sites provides a sense of privacy that’s not often available in an RV park.
